Leave it to Orchestra Noir to bring the people out to downtown Birmingham’s Alabama Theatre on a bitterly cold Friday evening. Even though the orchestra is only in its seventh year, it has been electrifying audiences nationwide. Because of such aptitude, filling the capacity of a 2500 seat establishment was an easy feat. Maestro Jason Ikeem Rodgers, Orchestra Noir’s Founder/CEO/Music Director, alongside Assistant Music Director/Saxophonist, Larry Smith brought orchestra vibes fused with hip hop and R&B classics. Thus, this musical group is significantly changing the perception and conversation of what it means to be a classically trained musician in urban spaces.
The Maestro thanks the people of Birmingham for having sold the “largest amount of tickets thus far”!!
