GCjr made his return to BIrmingham, Alabama to the open air venue at Avondale Brewing Company. He begins his almost two hour set with his signature song, Bright Lights off of the Bright Lights EP. He sets foot on stage to a roaring crowd, with guitar wailing- a sight to behold.
Under the threat of rain the standing room only crowd remained steadfast and skies remained clear for a majority of the night. A few droplets found their way downward creating a magically eerie backdrop as Mr Clark belted out Our Love about midway into his set.
Gary and bandmates end the set with a soul stirring When My Train Pulls In. They delight the crowd with a return encore performance of three additional songs: Shake, Church and Low Down Rolling Stone. A phenomenally breath taking two hours of modern blues, a hint of R&B with some pop thrown in–Gary gives us his genius for the night.
